Kashmir is the queen of mountains. Wrapped by the snow peaks of Himalayan, Kashmir is the ultimate epitome of beauty. The landscape beauty of this place quite looks like a painting always. Since the days of independence, Kashmir has been targeted as the place of violence and terrorism. But the natural beauty of this place has been perfectly intact till date.
And with the increasing problems, it is quite expected that in the near future Kashmir might become inaccessible for the Indians, just like Tibet. So, why not pack the bag and soak the essence of this place now. Let us have a look.
As per itinerary
Our Kashmir tour would begin from Katra. After reaching Katra, you would be meeting our representative there and you will be transferred to Srinagar that day. From Katra to Srinagar, it takes almost 7 to 8 hours to reach the place. So, we would be leaving Katra as early as possible.
After reaching Srinagar, we would be staying there for the night. With an evening to kill, you can roam around and explore this mountain town freely. Our first day of the trip would end by staying back at the hotel in Srinagar.
From the next day onwards, you are absolutely free to explore Kashmir on your own. And the first step to enjoy the fabulous Kashmir is through Sonmarg.
Just 80 kilometres away from Srinagar, Sonmarg is situated in the Ganderbal district which is also being called the meadow of gold. So, after breakfast we would be heading towards this beautiful place to get the Kashmir touch on our skin. The ride from Srinagar to Sonmarg is amazing and the picturesque landscapes are way too amazing to miss.
After reaching Sonmarg, you can also take a pony ride to Thajiwas Glacier at your own cost where the snow remains round throughout the year and does not melt at all.
After having a whole day at Sonmarg, we would be returning back to Srinagar on the houseboat. You will have the evening to roam around and explore other houseboats as well.
For the 3rd day here, we would be biding goodbye to Srinagar and heading towards Gulmarg. Gulmarg is only 50 kilometres away from Srinagar and it hardly takes an hour to reach there. Thus, after breakfast, we would pack our bags and head towards Gulmarg for the rest of the day.
After checking-in, we would relax a little and take a bath or have a rest for the daytime. After having lunch at the hotel, we would be ready for the Gulmarg Exploration.
Surrounded by mountains and the greeneries of nature, Gulmarg is an amazing place to embrace the nature for yourself. The surise and sunset at Gulmarg is something you should never miss. You can walk around the town and explore the town by yourself or you can book a pony ride at your own cost from Gulmarg to Khilanmarg to explore the mountains and more of Kashmir. Also, you can opt for a cable car ride as well.
After all these adventure, we would be completing the 3rd day of the trip at the hotel in Gulmarg.
Pahalgam is one of the famous tourist spots of Kashmir. It is the home of Overu Aru Wildlife where you can witness brown bears and musk deers. Also, it has a famous Hindu shrine where famous Bollywood movies have been shot.
Thus, after having breakfast at Gulmarg, we would be transferring you from Gukmarg to Pahalgam. It is 3 hours ride away from Gulmarg. After reaching Pahalgam by noon, we can have some leisurely walk around the town for pleasure. We would be staying overnight at Pahalgam for the 4th day.
As I have said earlier, Pahalgam is an amazing place to explore. Thus, day 5 of the Kashmir tour has been reserved for your leisurely exploration of Pahalgam.
You can easily take some walk or leisurely pony rides through Pahalgam at your own cost. The mountain surrounded lush greenery is something you do not experience in your regular life. Whatever you do, you have the whole day to explore Pahalgam. For the day 5 of our Kashmir tour, we would be staying at Pahalgam.
Day six is the day when we start bidding goodbye to Kashmir and start our return journey. However, as we have not explore Srinagar that much, we would be reacing Srinagar from Pahalgam within 2 hours and stay at Srinagar for the night.
Srinagar has many spots to explore. We would start the day with Mughal Gardens. It is one of the historical places in Srinagar that you should not miss at any cost. After that we have Chasmi-e-Shahi and Shalimar Bagh on our agenda.
This would take the whole day and leave the evening free for you to roam around the town for a while and do shopping if you wish. For the 6th day, we would be staying at Srinagar again.
Day seven is the day when we bid goodbye to our Kashmir trip. After having breakfast early in the morning, we would be heading for Jammu which will take almost 8 hours journey from Srinagar.
After reaching Jammu, we would be dropping you at the Airport or the bus station from where you can return to your home.
