Day 1 - Arrival and Heading for Gangtok
The first gate for North-East India tour is the New Jalpaiguri Station or Bagdogra Airport. You would get a heartfelt welcome from our representative. He will assist you to reach Gangtok safely and without any trouble.

Gangtok is the passageway to Sikkim, the land of mountains. It is the ultimate place to visit the monastery and experience the mystic rules and rituals of the mountain people. Situated at an altitude of 5,480 ft, Gangtok is almost 4 and a half hours drive away from New Jalpaiguri.

For the first day, you would stay in Gangtok only. With one free evening, you can explore the versatile lifestyle of Gangtok and shop your heart out.
Day 2 - Excursion to Baba Mandir and Tsomgo Lake
With the light first day, day two is going to be a heavy and long excursion on the way. After the morning breakfast, we would be heading to a 2 hours drive to Baba Mandir and Tsomgo Lake. About 40 kilometres away from Gangtok, the drive would be through the greenery of Kyongsola Alpine Sanctuary.

This sanctuary is home to many species and animals, and among them, Red Panda and Blood Pheasant are the most important ones. The bunch of Rhododendron flowers and alpine trees covering the roads of the sanctuary will surely give you chills down the spine. After the sanctuary, we would be visiting the Tsomgo Lake. This oval-shaped lake is covered in snow throughout the whole year, and it is situated at an altitude of 12,000 ft. Thus, if you have any kind of breathing problem, it is best to keep an oxygen cylinder handy. Also, this 50 ft deep lake is home to Brahmini ducks and many other migratory birds.

Nearby Tsomgo Lake, you will find the famous Baba Mandir. Captain Harbhajan Singh is a mountain legend for defending the country from the hands of the Chinese invasion. Even after his death, his spirit is said to protect the borders of the Eastern Himalayan range. He is hailed as the ‘Hero of Nathula’.
From Baba Mandir, Nathula Pass is just 20 kilometres away. Situated at an altitude of 4,310 m above the sea level, Nathula Pass is the connection between India and China’s Tiber Autonomous Region. Also, this pass is a part of the ancient Silk Route. From Nathula Pass to the Republic of China is another 20 kilometres away and it is an optional tour.
After such a hectic day, we would be back to Gangtok with an evening to roam around this magical city. You can visit the mall road or do some shopping on your own. Day 2 will end with an overnight stay at the Gangtok hotel.

However, if due to weather problem or landslides, Tsomgo Lake is shut down for tourists, we would provide you with other optional side tour plans.
Day 3 - Travelling to Lachen and Site-Seeing
After having breakfast at Gangtok, we would be heading towards Lachen which is almost 135 kilometres away from Gangtok. While we are on the way, we would be doing the site-seeing of Lachen. At first, we would stop at Chungthang which is 96 kilometres away from Gangtok. We will have the tastiest lunch here, and then we would be heading for Lachen’s site-seeing.

Lachen has many things to offer, and one of the best is the Shingbha Wild Life Sanctuary. A beautiful sanctuary with mountain pandas and birds around, we would be spending an hour or two in here. After a 6 hours drive, in the afternoon, we would enter Lachen and check into the hotel. After a cup of welcome tea and a free roam around this small town, we would end our day 3 with Lachen.
Day 4 - Excursion to Gurudongmar Lake and Travelling to Lachung
For the 4th day, we have to wake up a lot early in the morning to visit this amazing Gurudongmar Lake. We would leave the hotel at 4 am sharp and reach the Lake by 6 or 6:30 am. Gurudongmar Lake is situated at an altitude of 18,000 ft above the sea level. Although most of this Lake is in China’s territory, the beauty of this lake will surely take your breath away. Gurudongmar is considered as the holiest lake in Sikkim.
Due to its high altitude, we cannot stay at Gurudongmar for long. After spending half an hour, we would be driving through the cold desert to Tibet or China. After that, we would head back to Lachen again to complete the site-seeing.

Chopta Valley and Thangu are the two main attractions of Lachen. The green Chopta Valley is amazing, and the town of the valley is almost hidden from the naked eye. Cradled between mountains and stern rock like pillars, Chopta Valley is a must seen place in Lachen.

Completing Chopta Valley and Thangu, we would head back to resort for lunch and from there, straight to Lachung. Lachung is almost 50 kilometres away from Lachen, and it is roughly two hours drive away from Lachen. As we would be spending the day four night in Lachung, we would visit the Lachen Monastery in the evening to pass our time.
Day 5 - The Wonders of Yumthang and Back to Gangtok
Yumthang is the last stop of this trip. After breakfast, we would be heading towards Yumthang, which is situated at an altitude of 11,800 ft. The beautiful Yumthang valley is famous for its hot spring that is said to cure skin diseases. This valley is surrounded by big pine trees and the river Lacheng Chu. Yumthang is the valley of variety. During summer, this valley bursts with colours of rhododendron and Primula and in winter this place gets as quiet as the water of the frozen lake.

After spending the whole morning in here, we would head towards Lachung for lunch, and after lunch, we would be heading again to the place from where we started it, Gangtok. The 5th night would be spent in Gangtok.
Day 6 - Gangtok to Siliguri
On day 6, we would start very early in the morning according to the train or flight time as from Gangtok. It is a 5 hours drive to Siliguri. We would drop you at the New Jalpaiguri Railway Station, Bagdogra Airport or Tenzing Norgay bus station according to your preference.
