Day 1- Reaching Bagdogra Airport (IXB) – Phuentsholing
Your tour to Bhutan will start with your arrival at Phuentsholing. This is the Gateway to Bhutan from India and is known to have harmonious nature and culture. We will be there to pick you at Bagdogra Airport (IXB) as per your arrival schedule.
Then you will be escorted to your pre-booked hotel room. Hurry-up with the check-in process and spend some leisure time at the hotel. Today, just shed off the traveling tiredness and energize yourself for the tour ahead. Have sumptuous dinner and continue your overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2 - Reaching the capital city- Thimpu
Today, we will hit the road to reach the capital city- Thimpu which is around 4 hours away. As the journey is going to long, start your morning with a filling breakfast and get ready early. We will finish up the immigration formalities first.
We will be reaching Thimpu via Gedu town which is another awe-inspiring place. Upon reaching Thimpu, make hotel check-in and relax for some time. Later in the day, we will explore some of the local wonders of the capital city. Places like Tashichhodzong and the local town market will be on our to-do list today.
Return to the hotel to relish over local sumptuous dinner and continue overnight stay.
Day 3 - A day tour to the capital city
The offerings of Thimpu, the heart of Bhutan are more than Tashichhodzong and the local town market. So, on day 3 of our Bhutan 5N/6D tour, we will explore the remaining wonders of the capital city-Thimpu. So, we will hit the road to explore the city after having a filling meal at the hotel.
Our first destination would be Kuensel Phodrang The gigantic Buddha Statue at this place will give you an idea of Bhutan‘s amazing architecture and culture. Our next stop is the National Memorial Chorten. In the afternoon, we will explore places like Sangaygang View Point, Changangkha Monastery, and Takin Preserve Centre.
By the time we are done with all these places, it will be late evening and we should return to the hotel. Here, we will relish over a sumptuous dinner, and continue overnight stay.
Day 4 - Visiting Takshang – Tiger’s Nest hike or Paro sightseeing/ Dochula Pass
On day 4 of the tour, we have two options to do. Either we can go for Takshang – Tiger’s Nest hike or spend the day at Paro sightseeing and visit Dochual pass. Both are going to be a once-in-a-lifetime traveling experience. Tiger’s Nest is an ancient monastery situated on a cliff’s edge. It is an ideal activity for an enthusiastic traveler as reaching here is a whole new adventure. It’s around 3-4 hours long hike and gives you a chance to encounter some of the beautiful views.
If you want to spend your day exploring Bhutan and its culture then Paro sightseeing is what you should pick.
On our tour to Paro, we will first drive to Dochula pass. This mountain pass has everything to make your trip memorable. The scenic beauty, majestic mountains, and lush green landscapes are enough to lure you. Then we will visit places like Rinpung Dzong, National Museum of Bhutan, Kyichu Monastery, Nya Mey Zam, Dumtse Lhakhang, and Dzongdrakha Goemba.
As the day ends, we will return to the hotel, have the meal, and retire to bed.
Day 5 - Paro Sightseeing and reaching to Phuentsholing
It’s the second last day of the tour and you should make sure that you don’t miss any of Bhutan’s charm. If you chose Tiger’s Nest hike on day 4 then it’s time to go a quick Paro sightseeing and explore its major tourists' attractions.
If you have already done it then its best to visit the Paro local market and shop for some amazing handcrafted artifacts. You can also visit Namgay Artisanal Brewery, Paro International Airport viewpoint, and Ugyen Pema Woedling Zangthopelri before you say a final goodbye to Bhutan.
Later in the day, we will start our journey for Phuentsholing. Continue your overnight stay here.
Day 6 - Leaving Bhutan for now
Its day 6 of the trip and you must pack your bag and get ready to start your return journey. So, enjoy your last breakfast of the package at the hotel, complete all the check-out formalities, and get ready to leave. We will drop you at Bagdogra Airport (IXB) from where you will continue your onward journey as per your departure schedule.
