Day 1 - Arrival At Guwahati Airport And Drive To Shillong
The first day of the tour starts with your arrival at the Guwahati airport. Our tour operator will welcome you at the Guwahati Airport. You will be transferred to Shillong from the airport by car. Shillong is 130kms away from Guwahati. It will take 3.5 hours to reach Shillong. On your way to Shillong, visit the beautiful Umiam Lake. Check in at the hotel after you reach Shillong. Enjoy your overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2 - Local Sightseeing in Shillong
Shillong also called “The Gleneagle of the East”, is the capital of Meghalaya. The beautiful hill station is made of crystal clear lakes, mesmerizing waterfalls, and magnificent mountains. The gorgeous city of Shillong is surrounded by Khasi Hills.

The second day of the tour starts with breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, you will enjoy local sightseeing in Shillong. There are breathtaking tourist spots in Shillong. Start your day visiting the Ward’s Lake of Shillong which is popular for boating and leisurely garden walks. Next, you should visit the Botanical Garden where you can find a rare collection of orchids and various exotic plants. The Lady Hydari Park is a Japanese style park endowed with exquisite flowers and stretches of roses. You can next visit the Mini Zoo which is located adjacent to the park.

Day 3 - Excursion To Cherrapunjee
The third day of the tour begins with breakfast at your hotel in Shillong. After your breakfast, embark on a day-long excursion to Cherrapunjee, located 60kms from Shillong. It will take about 2 hours to reach Cherraunjee, the wettest place of the world which is situated at an altitude of 4400 ft. Get enchanted by the beautiful Nohkalikai Falls which is located near to Cherrapunjee. Explore the enigmatic Mawsmai Caves.

Return back to Shillong in the evening after your day-long excursion to Cherrapunjee. Visit the Shillong peak and Elephant Falls on your way back to Shillong for some breathtaking views. Enjoy your overnight stay at the hotel in Shillong.
Day 4 - Excursion To Mwallynong And Dawki
The fourth day starts with breakfast at Shillong. After breakfast, embark on a day-long excursion to Mwallynong and Dawki. The Mwallynong Village is renowned for being the cleanest village in India. It is situated 90kms from Shillong. It is a 3 hours drive from Shillong. There are various interesting sights that you will come across when you visit the Mwallynong Village.

The Mwallynong Village is situated on the Shillong-Dawki road. The village has a population of only 400 people. The idyllic location and pleasant ambience of the village make it a popular tourist destination in Meghalaya. All other villages of the country aspire to be like this village after Discover India Magazine had announced it to be the cleanest village in 2003. The village is marked by paved pathways, beautiful flowerbed, waterfall, hilly rivulets, a living root bridge, acacia plantation and a great view of the beautiful faraway plains of Bangladesh.

Dustbins made of bamboo are found all over the village so that waste and dirt are not thrown on the streets. The waste from the dustbin is collected and stored in a pit. It is used by the villagers as manure. The villagers are looking forward to banning plastic in the forthcoming days. The village has cent percent literacy. The locals are spreading the message of forest conservation by planting trees on a regular basis. The village of Mwallynong is a paradise for artists and poets.
Dawki is a beautiful small town on the Bangladesh border. You can reach Dawki from the Mwallynong Village. The road to Dawki from Mwallynong epitomizes the idyllic hill drive. The main attraction of Dawki is the Umngot River that marks the separation between the Khasi and the Jaintia Hills. You can find an old, creaky suspension bridge over the Umngot River that was built by the British. Only one vehicle can cross the bridge at a time.

After your day-long excursion to Mwallynong Village and Dawki, return to Shillong. Have your dinner and enjoy your overnight stay at the hotel in Shillong.
Day 5 - Leave For Guwahati From Shillong
The fifth day of the tour starts with breakfast at Shillong. Check out of the hotel and start off your journey to Guwahati. It will take 3 hours to reach Guwahati by car. After reaching Guwahati, enjoy the Alfresco River Cruise on the mighty Brahmaputra (direct payment on the spot). After the river cruise, visit Kalashetra for enjoying the light and sound show. Check in at the hotel at Guwahati and enjoy your overnight stay.
Day 6 - Visit Kamakhya Devi Temple and Leave For Home
The sixth day of the tour starts with breakfast at Guwahati and checking out of the hotel. Visit the holy Kamakhya Devi Temple before heading to the airport. After the temple visit, you will be dropped at the Guwahati airport, from where you can take off to your respective destination.
