Arrival in Jaipur
Our chauffeur, in a clean and serviced cab shall pick you up from Jaipur Airport or your desired location anywhere within urban city limits of Jaipur and transfer you to the hotel. Jaipur, the largest city of the state of Rajasthan is famously known as The Pink City, primarily due to the dominant color schemes of its buildings. Jaipur is a very popular tourist destination in India and forms a part of the Golden Triangle Tourist circuit along with Delhi and Agra.
The city was built by Maharaja Jai Singh, and hence is named after him. You must now check into you hotel and freshen up. In the evening we shall take you for a traditional Rajasthani treat at Chowki Dhani. Further you can also enjoy various cultural deserts this place has to offer like puppet shows, camel rides, elephant rides, folk dances and magic shows. Finally, return to hotel for the overnight stay.
Jaipur Local Sightseeing
Post breakfast; proceed for a full day local sightseeing in the pink city. Firstly, call in on the renowned Amber Fort (aka Amer Fort) located 11 km from the Jaipur city center. Amber Fort is a UNESCO world heritage site and has been the set of numerous Bollywood classic movies. The fort is built in red sandstone and marble and has numerous palaces within its periphery viz Diwan-I-Am (Hall of Public Audience), Diwan-I-Khas (Hall of Private Audience), Sheesh Mahal (mirror palace), and Sukh Niwas (an area where a cool atmosphere is artificially created by winds that flow over a water cascade within the palace).
The older capital city of the state of Rajasthan overlooks the Jaipur-Delhi highway with its supreme elegance. Famous for its hindu artistic elements with intricate detailing on the walls and structure, it overlooks the Maota lake which is the prime source of water for the town of Amer. After exploring the fort thoroughly, proceed to visit other attractions of Jaipur including Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Astronomical Observatory, and Birla Mandir and if time permits Albert Hall Museum. Later proceed to hotel and stay overnight.
Jaipur to Jodhpur Drive (335 kms/6 hours)
Post breakfast, we shall drive you to Jodhpur, the second largest city in the state of Rajasthan. Jodhpur is also known as The Gateway to Thar since it literally lies at the edge of Thar Desert. En-route pay your homage at the world renowned Ajmer Sharif Dargah at Ajmer. A sufi shrine of the Sufi saint, Moinuddin Chishti is an international endownment and is highly revered throughout the country and beyond.
Every year, a plethora of tourists and celebrities visit to Khwaja Garib Nawaz Dargah to pay their homage and gather blessings. Arrive in Jodhpur and check in to your hotel and freshen up. Later in the evening, you shall visit the local Bazar and have dinner in the local market. Jodhpur's local market offers some of the most delicious North Indian and Rajasthani cuisines. Once content, return to hotel for the overnight stay.
Jodhpur Local Sightseeing
Post breakfast, advance for the full day local sightseeing of Jodhpur. Begin with your visit to the crowned destination of Jodhpur, the famous Mehrangarh Fort. The entire city of Jodhpur was originally surrounding this fort. Gradually, it expanded in all directions to create a vast empire. Mehrangarh Fort is one of the largest forts in India and the largest in the state of Rajasthan. It was built by Rao Jodha in 1460 and has several palaces well known for their intricate detailing in the walls and burgeoning courtyards.
After exploring the entire fort, proceed to visit other destinations of interest including Rao Jodh Desert Rock Park, which adjoins the Mehrangarh Fort and further drift away to visit Sachiya Mata Temple, Balsamad Lake (a famous reservior 5 km from Jodhpur and surrounded by lush green gardens that are home to peacocks and jackals), Jaswant Thada, Phool Mahal, and Umaid Bhawan Palace Museum. Umaid Bhawan is one gigantic palace which can be seen from every part of the city and the building is beautifully architectured. However, only a small part of the same is open for tourist visits. In the evening, return to the hotel for overnight staty.
Jodhpur to Udaipur via Ranakpur Drive (300 kms/6 hours)
Post breakfast, advance towards Ranakpur for calling in on all the popular Jain temples. Ranakpur is a small village well known for the mighty Jain Temple, which is believed to be the most majestic of all the Jain temples in the world. Ranakpur is also famous for a large population of monkeys living in and around the village. Further march towards Udaipur, The City of Lakes.
Udaipur city has the best reputation across the country for its magical setting for romance and hence is frequented by couples in huge number every year. The city is also known as the blue city since most of the houses in the city are blue in shade. On arrival, check in your hotel and freshen up. In the evening advance to Taj Lake palace for dinner and refreshment. Return to your hotel for overnight stay.
Udaipur Local Sightseeing
Post breakfast; proceed for the full day local sightseeing in Udaipur. Firstly call in on the Palace museum, a complex of seven amazingly crafted palaces. All these palaces are built in a style which seems to be a hybrid of Rajasthani and Mughal styles of architecture. Further explore various monuments and sightseeing locations including Garden of Fountains, Jagdish Temple, Ekling Ji Temple, Lake Palace, Jag Mandir, Neemach Mata Temple and Monsoon Palace. Have a serene boat ride in the Pichola Lake in the evening and finally proceed to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Udaipur to Jaipur Drive (394 kms/6 hours)
