Today is the first day of your 6 days Guwahati Shillong Cherrapunji tour. Our representative will receive you at Guwahati Airport and then drive to Shillong
Drive through the aromatic tea gardens and greenery and enjoy the nature's richness. It takes around 5 hrs. to reach Shillong from Guwahati. If time permits take a walk in a tea garden which is located on the edge of the central range of the park. In the evening Check-in your resort and relax for the night.
Day 2 : Shillong-Dawki River & Bangladesh border - Mawlynnong Village -Shillong
Today after your breakfast at the hotel, head off to Dawki, which lies at the border of India and Bangladesh and is famous for a suspension bridge over Umn got River (commonly known as Dawki bridge) constructed by British in 1932. Enjoy a beautiful boat ride in its crystal- clear water amidst nature's gorgeous creation and feel its essence. After then, head off to Mawlynnong Village which proud itself to be the cleanest village in Asia.The cleanliness that this small village depicts is just commendable and inspiring. Trek to the oldest natural Root Bridge and give an adventurous touch to your trip. Enjoy the Sky Walk, which is 85 ft bamboo structure and gives a panoramic view of not only the village but also of Bangladesh plains.
Return to Shillong and rest for the night in Shillong.
Day 3 : Shillong – Jowai - Shillong
Morning after breakfast proceed to Juwai , on the way Visit Tryshi Falls, Krang Suri Water Falls and can visit Jarain Pitcher Plant Lake where you can enjoy boating with a view of carnivorous pitcher plant. Surrounded by the fascinating carnivorous pitcher plants, boat rides in this lake are a great experience. The plants, spread over 50,000 sq. m proves to be a unique sight for all. Then process to Jowai & return to Shillong & overnight stay at shillong.
Day 4 : Shillong - Cherrapunji
Today morning after enjoying breakfast at hotel we set off for the scenic town, Cherrapunji, well known for receiving the highest rainfall in the country which also treats you with some amazing scenery. Here the temperature is lower than Shillong and mostly covered with fog in the monsoon and summer.
Start your tour with a thrilling experience by exploring the Mawsmai Cave and get amazed by this mother nature's creation. Then get mesmerized by the beauty of the breathtaking falls of Nohkalikai Falls, garden of cave and the Seven Sisters Falls. These waterfalls have their legends and watching them is not only a feast to the eye but also gives peace to the mind. By end of the day visit the Eco Park which gives you the view of the majestic hills and the gorgeous falls & return to Cherrapunji & overnight stay here
Day 5 : Cherrapunji – Guwahati
On this day, we will check out from the Shillong and head towards Guwahati. Do the check- in formalities at the hotel, get some time off to settle there and relax.
After freshening up start your sightseeing with a visit to Kamakhya Temple and then trip to the world's smallest river island, the Peacock Island and enjoy its spiritual spirit. Then visit the state museum and get a glimpse of the state's culturally rich history, crafts, traditions, anthropology etc., enjoy ropeway ride and visit Brahmaputra River Heritage Center. If you are on a family vacation you can also enjoy visiting Assam State Zoo, Sankardev Kalakshetra and Balaji temple. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 6 : Departure
Today is the last day of our amazing tour. After having your breakfast, our representative will assist you to Guwahati Airport as per your convenience. We hope you have a wonderful experience which you would endure for eternity.
