Day 1: Srinagar
Starting with beautiful Srinagar, we would be meeting you at the Srinagar Airport or the Railway station for picking up. Termed as the ‘Venice of the East’, Srinagar is an amazing place with many historical and natural spots to explore. However, for the first day, we would give you some free time to explore the town and get some rest for yourself. We would be staying in a hotel of Srinagar to kick start the next day.
Day 2: Sight-seeing in Srinagar
With a little bit of relaxing mood, we would start the first taste of your Kashmir trip. The second day is fixed for Srinagar sight-seeing only. Although it is famous for its paradise-like natural beauty, Srinagar has many other places to visit for the first timers as well.
At first, after having breakfast, we would visit the Mughal Garden in Srinagar. It is said to be the most beautiful Mughal Garden in India. The main attraction of this garden is Chasma-e-Shahi. Dedicated to the name of the greatest Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, this Royal Spring is a delight amid the clouds and the mountains.
This is not the only Mughal Garden in Srinagar. There are Shalimar Bagh and Nishat Bagh, waiting for your arrival with their amazing beauty. After spending some time here, we would be visiting one of the famous temples of Srinagar – The Shankaracharya Temple. It is situated at an altitude of 1,000 ft, this temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The sharp hill climbing has made this temple even more interesting to the tourists.
In the afternoon, we would relax at the hotel and spend the night in Srinagar.
Day 3: Srinagar to Sonmarg
Sonmarg is one of the most visited places in Kashmir. If you are in Kashmir, you cannot ever miss out Sonmarg. Situated in the district of Ganderbal, Sonmarg is about 85 kilometres away from Srinagar. Termed as the golden meadow, Sonmarg is a little valley surrounded by beautiful mountain ranges. Also, the name of Sonmarg has been derived from its eloquent show of golden spring flowers that cover the valleys from time to time.
The main attractions of Sonmarg are the two beautiful lakes – Bisansar Lake and Krishnasar Lake. The picturesque locations of these two lakes are something you never want to miss out. Also, these lakes are famous for trout fishing. Thus, if you want, you can try out your luck here as well.
By the afternoon, we would pack out souls from Sonmarg and head for Srinagar again to spend our 3rd night in the hotel of Srinagar.
Day 4: Srinagar to Gulmarg
After Sonmarg, Gulmarg is the most famous tourist spots that attract tourists from all around the world to Kashmir. Gulmarg is termed as the meadow of flowers. This little green valley decorates herself in colourful flowers when the time comes.
After having breakfast, we would leave Srinagar early and reach Gulmarg by noon. Gulmarg is just 1-hour drive away from Srinagar. Gulmarg is also famous for the European adaptation of the 18-hole Golf course. Even if you do not play golf, you would surely enjoy the view for sure.
Also, Gulmarg has a skiing point named Khilanmarg. With the help of a pony, you can easily reach this place. Apart from skiing, it is one of the best places to witness the beauty of Kashmir as a whole.
We would stay in Gulmarg for the night.
Day 5: Sight-seeing in Gulmarg
Gulmarg is an ideal place to have a leisure day in your monotonous life. Situated at the height of 2,650m, Gulmarg is the best place to witness the naked appearance of many famous peaks of Himalayan range such as ‘Nanga Parbat’ which main dominates the whole area.
Also, you can stroll around the valley and embrace nature with your open arms. It is a beautiful place to do some photography as well. And if you visit this place during winter, skiing and many other snow sports will be on your bucket list for sure.
Day 6: Gulmarg to Pahalgam
It is about 3 hours journey from Gulmarg to Pahalgam which sums up to 139 kilometres. After having a delicious breakfast at Gulmarg, we would be leaving for Pahalgam. Situated at an altitude of 7,200 ft, Pahalgam is one of the famous hilly spots of Kashmir, and no one should miss it for heaven. Also, for the pilgrims of Amarnath, Pahalgam is the route that everyone has to take.
Day 7: Pahalgam sight-seeing
The last day of this trip would be reserved solely for sight-seeing of Pahalgam. After having breakfast, you can easily take a lazy walk around the valley. And if you want, you can also go for the famous Tullian Trek which stretches over an area of 11 kilometres and covered with ice for most of the year.
Also, you can visit the small village nearby. Baisaren is situated at a stone-throwing distance from Pahalgam, and the pine surrounded view of this village is worth of all the troubles. Take photos and have fun.
Day 8 is only reserved for the descent. After having morning breakfast in Pahalgam, we would be heading for Srinagar. After a smooth 2 hours drive from Pahalgam to Srinagar, you would be grabbing the trains or the flights to your home, and we would bid you goodbye until the next time again.
