What is the Dolphins Bay Phuket show?
Dolphins Bay Phuket is a live marine show in Chalong, in the south of Phuket island. Bottlenose dolphins and fur seals perform with their trainers for about 40 minutes. The fur seals open the show. The dolphins follow with high jumps, synchronised spins and tail-walks.
The arena is indoor and covered, so the show runs in sun or rain. It shares a site with Phuket Zoo.
What are the show times?
There are three shows a day:
- 11:00 morning show
- 14:00 afternoon show
- 17:00 evening show
The venue is closed on Mondays. Each show lasts about 40 minutes. Allow one to one and a half hours in total for entry, seating and photos. Show times can change, so we confirm your time before the day.
Which seat should you book?
There are four seat tiers. All of them see the full show.
- Regular seat: rows E to G
- Deluxe seat: rows C and D
- VIP seat: row B
- VVIP seat: row A, at the very front
The front rows give the closest view. They also have the highest chance of a splash.
Is it good for children?
Yes. The show is seated and easy, and it is popular with families and older travellers. Infants under about 90 cm enter free and sit on a lap. Children between about 90 and 130 cm pay the child rate. Anyone taller than 130 cm pays the adult rate.
How do you get there?
Dolphins Bay is about 15 minutes by car from Phuket Town. From Patong it takes around 30 to 45 minutes, depending on traffic. Hotel transfers are not part of the ticket, but we can arrange them on request for an extra fee.
Good to know
- Arrive at least 30 minutes before your show.
- Photos and videos from your seat are fine, but turn off the flash.
- A posed photo with the dolphins is sold on site after the show.
- Swimming with the dolphins is a separate paid session, usually for ages 6 and up.
- Carry water and some Thai baht for extras.
