What is Dino Park Mini Golf Phuket?
Dino Park Mini Golf Phuket is an 18-hole dinosaur-themed mini golf course on Karon Road, on the hillside between Karon and Kata beaches in southern Phuket. The course winds past life-size dinosaurs that move and make sounds, a waterfall, caves and a large T-Rex. At the centre stands a volcano that glows after dark.
It is a low-key family outing. There is no adrenaline element. You simply play the holes at your own pace and enjoy the prehistoric scenery around you.
How long does a visit take?
A full round of 18 holes and a wander through the grounds usually take about 1.5 hours. The park is open daily from 10.00 am to 11.00 pm, with last entry at 10.00 pm. Exact timings are confirmed when your booking is confirmed.
Do you need golf experience?
No golf experience is needed. The holes are straightforward enough for beginners and children. Clubs and balls are provided with your entry ticket, so there is nothing to bring or rent.
When is the best time to go?
Late afternoon into the evening is the best time. The air is cooler, and the grounds are lit up after dark, when the volcano starts to glow. Daytime visits work well too if you prefer to see the dinosaurs in full daylight.
Is it suitable for young children and older visitors?
Mostly yes. Children enjoy the dinosaurs, though some of the larger moving models may startle very young kids. The main concern is mobility. The trail has steps and slopes, and it is not suitable for strollers or wheelchairs. Infants enter free.
Is there food at the park?
An on-site Stone Age-themed restaurant and bar serves drinks and light bites. Food and drinks are not included in the ticket. Fuller meals, including vegetarian and Indian food, are a few minutes away in Karon and Kata.
