Overview
What is Andamanda Phuket?
Andamanda Phuket is a large water park in Kathu, in the middle of Phuket island. Its design draws on Thai sea legends, with dragon-like Naga statues, coral colours and palace towers. It is one of the biggest themed water parks in Thailand. Most visitors spend four to six hours here.
What are the five zones?
- Pearl Palace: the entrance, with ticketing, shops and the main facilities.
- The Great Andaman Bay: a man-made sea of about 10,000 square metres, with a sandy shore and waves up to about 3 metres.
- Naga Jungle: the thrill area, with racing slides and free-fall capsules.
- Emerald Forest: a quieter area with a long lazy river and tubes.
- Coral World: the children’s zone, with shallow pools, small slides and tipping buckets.
Is it good for families and non-swimmers?
Yes. Life jackets and floats are free inside the park. The lazy river and the shallow pools need no swimming. The wave bay has a shallow edge where you can wade in slowly. Coral World is built for young children, and older relatives often enjoy the calm lazy river.
Which ticket should you book?
There are two options. The Day Pass is entry only, and you arrange your own travel to Kathu. The second option adds a shared round-trip transfer. It covers most beach and town areas, including Patong, Karon, Kata, Kamala, Chalong, Rawai, Bang Tao and Laguna. The drive from Patong takes about 30 minutes.
What about food?
Restaurants and snack stalls in the park serve Thai, Italian, grilled and seafood dishes. Most have some vegetarian choices. Meals are paid for on the day.
Good to know
