Overview
This ethical rescue sanctuary in the Khao Mai Kaew hills, about 7km from central Pattaya, is home to elephants rescued from logging camps, circuses and trekking operations. There’s a strict no-riding policy — no seats, hooks or chains — with visits built entirely around feeding, bathing and walking alongside the animals.
Hand-feed bananas and sugarcane, join a mud spa and river bath, and learn how the sanctuary turns elephant dung into paper products. Sanctuary staff guide every session, with three programme lengths to choose from and free round-trip transport within Pattaya City and Jomtien Beach.
